Q. What percentage is eligible for scholarship?

Scholarships in Canada help students to study in Canada by granting them some fee concessions or waiving the study fees completely. The scholarships are given to the students based on various factors such as the percentage of the student, performance of the student in extracurricular activities, the financial condition of the student, and so on.

The scholarships based on these factors are open to all students. On the other hand, some scholarships are restricted to only students with disabilities. The amount of scholarship is sometimes one-time while some scholarships cover the living expenses of the student also.

The most important eligibility criteria requirement to get a scholarship in Canada is an excellent academic score. Though all the scholarships have different eligibility requirements, most of the scholarships that are given are based on your score, which requires you to score at least 80% in your degree. Many universities also grant scholarships on the basis of school grades. This kind of scholarship requires a minimum GPA of 8.5-9.

You must note that there are multiple scholarships that the Universities in Canada grant. The eligibility requirements for all the scholarships are different. You must research well about all the eligibility requirements for the scholarship you want to apply for.

Some scholarships don't even consider your academic scores. They are given based on your financial condition, your leadership qualities, your performance in extracurricular activities, and so on. The students who perform well not only in their studies but also in extracurricular activities can apply for a range of scholarships and can increase their chances of getting a scholarship in Canada.
