AP EAMCET 2024: Eligibility Criteria  

The eligibility criteria to appear for the AP EAMCET exam is-  

  • The candidate should be of Indian nationality or a person of Indian origin/overseas citizen of India card holder.  
  • The candidate should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana and satisfy the local/non-local status of Andhra Pradesh.  
  • The candidate must have passed the 12th standard with a minimum of 45% marks as an aggregate in the relevant subjects.   
  • The candidate must be 16 years old as of December 31, 2024. There is no upper age limit.
  • The age criteria for agricultural courses is 17 to 22 and 25 for the reserved category. 

AP EAMCET 2024: Admission Process  

The admission process for AP EAMCET is quite simple, as mentioned below:  

Filling the Application Form

The admission process starts by filling out the application form on the official AP EAMCET website and clicking on the “eligibility criteria and fee payment” option.  

Applicable Fee Payment

Click on the fee payment tab and fill in the required details. You can complete the payment via debit/credit card, net banking, or other online payment methods. After successful payment, the candidate will receive a “transaction is successful” message, after which they should note the payment ID.  

AP EAMCET Exam

The candidates must appear for the exam on the mentioned date. The exam is evaluated, and the result is published. 

AP EAMCET Counseling

Based on the result and the rank, an AP EAMCET counseling session is conducted, usually in August, for the qualified candidates. Here, the candidates are given guidance on the college admission process, seat allotment, fees, etc.

Seat Allotment

Based on the choices filled by the candidate, the marks obtained, and the availability of seats, a seat is allotted to the candidate. A college-wise allotment list PDF is published by APSCHE, which can be accessed using the exam hall ticket number and date of birth.

Admission to the Allotted College

Lastly, the candidate must visit the allotted college for document verification and to complete the admission process.

AP EAMCET 2024: Application Form Details  

  1. The AP EAMCET 2024 registration will start tentatively from March 2024.   
  2. The application form, made available on the official APSCHE website, can be filled out and submitted online only.  
  3. The registration fee to fill out the application form is INR 600 for the general category, INR 500 for SC/ST, and INR 550 for BC candidates.  
  4. The candidate must have the following details handy when filling out the application form-  
  • Hall ticket number of qualifying examination and SSC or equivalent exam  
  • Date of birth  
  • Adhar number  
  • Caste certificate in case of SC/ST/BC candidates  
  • Certificate of PH (Physically handicapped), NCC (National Cadet Corps), Sports, etc., if applicable
  • Ration card  
  • Study/residence/relevant certificate for proof of local status  
  • Income certificate   

AP EAMCET 2024 Syllabus  

The updated syllabus for AP EAMCET 2024 will be released on the official website, and the candidates should go through it to prepare for the exam. 

The topics are based on the 11th and 12th standard syllabus from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM), and Biology (Botany and Zoology). Those preparing for engineering must study PCM subjects, while those for agriculture and pharma must study PCB subjects.

A few of the important topics that are usually included in the syllabus are-  

  • Physics- Motion in a straight line and a plane, units and measurements, laws of motion, work, energy and power, oscillations, kinetic theory, thermodynamics, magnetism and matter, semiconductor electronics: materials, devices and simple circuits, etc.  
  • Chemistry- Atomic structure, classification of elements and periodicity in properties, states of matter, stoichiometry, surface chemistry, general principles of metallurgy, polymers, biomolecules, chemistry in everyday life, etc.  
  • Mathematics- Algebra, trigonometry, vector algebra, measures of dispersion and probability, coordinate geometry, and calculus.  
  • Botany- Diversity in the living world, plant systematics, plant physiology, plants, microbes, human welfare, internal organization of plants, microbiology, genetics, molecular biology, biotechnology, etc.  
  • Zoology- Zoology - diversity of the living world, biology in human welfare, ecology and environment, genetics, applied biology, animal diversity, organic evolution, etc.  

AP EAMCET 2024 Result  

Tentatively, the JNTU will publish the AP EAMCET results on the official website in June 2024 if the exam is held in May 2024. A candidate should ideally score at least 25% of the maximum marks and get assigned a rank by the conducting body.  However, there are no minimum qualifying marks for reserved category candidates.  

AP EAMCET 2024 Counseling  

After the results, an AP EAMCET counseling session is conducted for the qualified candidates. The candidates are given guidance on the college admission process in the counseling process. They are provided information about the AP EAMCET registration process for admission, seat allotment, seat acceptance, and payment of admission fees. Additionally, the candidates also receive a list of institutions accepting the test. It mentions the intake in each discipline and category based on the AP EAMCET reservation.
