The Diploma of Engineering introduces you to fundamental concepts in civil, electrical and electronic, mechanical and mechatronic engineering, as well as in computing, maths and physics. The diploma is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree. You'll receive credit for all the units you complete in your diploma, so no extra time will be added to your degree.

You will gain an in-depth understanding of environmental engineering problems and issues, and have the opportunity to specialise in high-demand areas such as solid and hazardous waste management, water treatment, wastewater treatment, air quality monitoring and control and renewable energy. You will develop the skills to incorporate sustainability concepts into engineering work practices from various discipline backgrounds. Students who graduate from the program and pass the Dissertation component will have a pathway to higher degree by research study.
