  • The student must have a Goethe-Institut "Zertifikat C 1" (Goethe-Institut Certificate Z 1), the "Deutsche Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz Stufe II" (The German Language Diploma of the Conference of Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs Level II), or the "Telc C1 Hochschule."

  • The Goethe-Institut "Zertifikat C 1: This is a certificate from the Goethe-Institut that shows advanced proficiency in German at level C1.
  • Deutsche Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz Stufe II: Known as DSD II, this diploma certifies a high level of German proficiency and is issued by the Conference of Education and Cultural Affairs Ministers.

Telc C1 Hochschule: This test by Telc GmbH assesses language skills, and reaching the C1 level indicates advanced proficiency, especially useful for academic situations.

How to Apply

Candidates must apply online to be eligible for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Scholarships. The following is the application process:

  • Fill out the online application form. The application form consists of some basic questions about your professional and family background. No further information is required at this stage.
