The Department of Science & Technology sponsors and manages the creative "Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE)" program, which aims to draw talent to science. The main goal of INSPIRE Scholarship is to inspire young people across the nation with the creative possibilities of science, attract gifted students to science from an early age, and thereby create the necessary human resource pool for bolstering and enlarging the nation's science and technology system and research and development base.
Candidates will get an INSPIRE Scholarship amount of ₹5,000 every month for a total of ₹60,000, which is the annual scholarship sum of ₹80,000. Inspire Scholarship Amount in 2024
The department will implement the Inspire Scholarship for PG students, which will provide a total of Rs 80000 in scholarships annually to students pursuing bachelors and masters programs.
A scholarship of a total of Rs 60000, or Rs 5,000 per month, would be awarded to each candidate annually. Everybody The scholars must complete a summer research project in a recognised research centre in India, working under the supervision of an active researcher.
An annual mentorship fee of Rs 20,000 would be paid for this purpose in the summer. After finishing the project within the allotted time, the student must turn in the project report and the mentor's certificate.

INSPIRE Scholarship Selection Process
If more than 10,000 acceptable applications are received in a given year, the Board Inclusive Model will be used to select the winners of the available scholarships.
The computation will be carried out on a pro rata basis of valid applications, in accordance with the recommendations made by the INSPIRE Scholarship Standing Committee.
The entire number of valid applications received by each board across all boards will be compared to the total number of scholarships offered under INSPIRESHE for that year, and the computation will be done in percentage terms for each board.

Terms and Conditions of INSPIRE Scholarship
In order to be eligible for an INSPIRE scholarship for higher education funding at any level, including B.Sc. or M.Sc., a scholar must pass the university or college test with at least 60% of the possible points or a GPA of at least 7.0 (on a 10-point scale) on their first try.
Scholarships for that academic year will be forfeited if any scholar receives a GPA of less than 7.0 (on a 10-point scale) or less than 60% in the B.Sc./B.S./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. examination, or fails any subject during the annual or semester test. Only if the scholar's academic record meets the requirements outlined in paragraph 1 above will the award be renewed the following year.
