Academic Cycle

In light of 2 years and 3 semesters in the entire course, MBA at UT Austin offers core and elective courses. In addition, the credits vary according to the MBA you have chosen. By the same token, let’s look at the credits required for each.

  • Full-time MBA: Requires 62 semester hours of coursework, with core courses covering 23 hours.
  • Executive MBA: You must complete 34 hours of required course work and eight hours of electives, with 42 hours. Similarly, a minimum of eight years of work experience is required.
  • Evening MBA: The completion requires 48 semester hours of coursework.
  • MBA at Houston and MBA at Dallas-Fort Worth: Requires 48 semester hours of coursework. 

Admissions for MBA at UT Austin

Primarily, UT Austin Texas usually accepts applications for its MBA program for the fall semester. Moreover, the applications are accepted in three rounds, with the process starting every year in August.

Eligibility

You can apply and secure admission to MBA at UT Austin if you fulfil a specific set of criteria. These eligibility criteria are listed below.

  • You must have a bachelor’s degree from a state-accepted institute; correspondingly, you must also have a comparable degree from a foreign institution. 
  • A GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in an already completed graduate work. Although if your GPA does not meet the requirements, you can use the Document Upload System to add a letter citing your concerns.
  • GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, or IELTS, depending on the requirement of your program. 
  • Prior experience and adequate performance in your proposed graduate major.
