More About University of Connecticut

History of the University of Connecticut 

Back in 1880, two brothers Charles and Augustus Storrs gathered money and invested it on land to start an agricultural school in Connecticut. In 1881, Storrs Agricultural School was established when Connecticut Governor Hobart Bigelow signed a legislation accepting Charles and Augustus Storrs’ gift of a former orphanage. The school started with three faculty members and 13 male students. 

Storrs Agricultural School was renamed Connecticut Agricultural College in 1899 and Connecticut State College in 1933. The college received full accreditation by the Association of American Universities in 1938 and received University status in 1939, thus becoming the University of Connecticut.

Required exams that students need to be clear to study at the University of Connecticut

To get through the  University of Connecticut admission process, a student has to submit GRE/GMAT and  English proficiency test (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and Duolingo) scores. The GRE, specific GRE subject tests or the GMAT which depends on the course chosen for. For the English proficiency test, you need to score in one of the standardized tests to satisfy the University of Connecticut requirement.
