Calvin University is a private institution which was founded in 1876. This university promotes the welfare of the city and the healing of the world with the help of the Christian faith. According to US News, this university is ranked 4 out of 167 Regional Universities Midwest. 

Accreditation

Calvin University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and undergraduate programs of this university are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation. Various accreditation agencies provide accreditation in many areas of this university. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 3,068(fall 2021). The student-faculty ratio of this university is 12:1 and a total of 328 academic staff.

The setting of this university is suburban and the campus size is 390  acres. It utilises a 4-1-4-based academic calendar. This university offers several student services including nonremedial tutoring, placement service, health service, 24 hours emergency telephone services, late-night escort, Health Insurance, 24-hour foot and vehicle patrols, controlled dormitory access and so on. Alcohol is not permitted for the students of legal age at this university.  There are various career services offered by the university such as alumni network, job search classes, interest inventory, internship, interview training, on-campus job interview, resume assistance and so on. Calvin College Acceptance Rate (General)

The admission to this university is more selective with an acceptance rate of 75%. Half of the applicants admitted to this university have an ACT score of 24 and 30 or an SAT score between 1120 and 1340. However, one-quarter of admitted applicants achieve scores below these ranges and one-quarter of the students scored above these ranges. Admission officials of this university consider a GPA an important academic factor.

Admission Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate

Undergraduate applicants should be aged 18 or above and need to submit 10+2 academic qualifications. An applicant's high school class rank and letters of recommendation are considered criteria for eligibility. 

Postgraduate

Postgraduate applicants should have to produce an undergraduate course qualification certificate. SAT or ACT scores must be received by the admission officials. A common application form is accepted here and international students need separate application forms.
