Living and meal averages based on conventional shared on-campus living and ten weekly meals are included in the estimated tuition and fees. Please fill out the financial sponsor with dependents form if you are traveling with dependents. It costs an extra $6,000 for each dependent. Without giving prior notice, Northern Arizona University maintains the right to change or raise tuition and fees in accordance with Board policy or with the approval of the Arizona Board of Regents. These changes will affect both current and new students enrolled at the university.

Northern Arizona University Courses and Fees 

Northern Arizona University offers post-baccalaureate and post-master's certifications in addition to bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degree programs. For first-year students, the enrollment fee is $325; for transfer students, it is $250. Your spot in our incoming class was guaranteed by the enrollment fee, which also enables you to apply for on-campus housing. The cost is non-refundable after July 1 and must be paid by June 1 in order to enroll for the fall term.

Application Requirements for Courses at Northern Arizona University

Undergraduate Admission Requirements

If you complete the 14 required core courses and your core GPA is 2.75 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), you will be considered for admission to NAU.

You are qualified to apply for graduate admission at NAU if you have a bachelor's degree from an institution recognized by a recognized regional accrediting body.

Whether you apply to our statewide campuses, online graduate programs, or the main campus in Flagstaff, NAU entrance standards are the same.

For regular admission to the majority of NAU Office of Graduate and Professional Studies (OGPS) programs, a bachelor's degree student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0). It is anticipated that admitted candidates will have completed undergraduate coursework akin to that needed to earn a NAU baccalaureate. Different GPAs and admission requirements apply to different graduate programs.
