German Language Proficiency Test

Students taking admission to German courses need to prove their German language proficiency with the help of the following test. Any one of the below tests is applicable. 

  • Test of German as a Foreign Language (TestDaF) The score should be between 12-15 score. It is the test of German language proficiency test. 
  • DSH (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang) is a German language proficiency test where the DHS level 2 and level 3 is accepted. 

English Language Proficiency Test

To study for the English language courses and programs, students need to take the English language proficiency test as mentioned below. 

IELTS: IELTS is the International English Language Testing System that is compulsory to apply for programs. Students need to have a score of a minimum of 6.5-8 depending upon the courses and programs. 

TOEFL: TOEFL examination is a compulsory English language proficiency test and the score requirement is 72-120. 

PTE: The Pearson Test of English language test score of 59-75 is important. 

Deggendorf Institute of Technology Admissions Requirements

The admission requirements are restricted to academic scores, entrance examinations, language proficiency scores, and documents.

Students can apply directly to the DIT online application platform by fulfilling the following requirements and documents: 

  • Passport
  • Students need to submit transcripts of all the academic scores and secondary school leaving certificates and passed degrees either in the English language or German. 
  • Updated curriculum vitae in either German language or English language in one or two pages which includes all the relevant and latest education information. 
  • All the language certificates of German proficiency test scores, as well as English language proficiency test scores, needs to be submitted. The test scores should be either in English or German language, if not they should be translated by a legal translation authority. the certificates should not be more than one year old.
  • Motivation letter, where the student needs to write the purpose behind visiting Germany, choosing the particular university, and going for the right program. They should pen down the reasons why they are the right fit and eligible for taking admission to the university.

Scholarship Available for Deggendorf Institute of Technology

Fond International Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is applicable for students taking admission to postgraduate and doctoral programs. The amount of scholarship ranges between 100 to 615 Euros (INR 8474.76 to INR 52119.77) per month. It is only applicable for international students without German citizenship. 

The Deggendorf Institute of Technology receives funds to award to selected DAAD’s STIBET scholarship program.

The scholarship amount given in each scholarship fund is between 400 to 900 Euros (INR 33899.04 to INR 76272.84) per semester. It is applicable for post-graduate students. Students with good achievements are only eligible for funding grants.
