History of Mannheim University of Applied Sciences

Mannheim University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Mannheim) was established in 1898 and has emerged as a leading public institution since then. Back in the 19th century, it was a private institution focusing on mechanical and electrical engineering. 

Mannheim city took it over in 1939 and made it a public engineering school. With time the academic curriculum widened, and in 1971, it finally became a University of Applied Sciences.

Mannheim University of Applied Sciences Fees

Mannheim University of Applied Sciences is a public institution that charges no tuition fees. But according to amendments in the act on fees in higher education of the Land of Baden-Württemberg (LHGebG), there have been some changes. 

Any international student or a student pursuing a second degree will need to pay 1500 Euros (INR 1.27 lakh approx) per semester. In some instances, this fee can be waived. 

Required Exams for Mannheim University of Applied Sciences Admissions

For international students, there are fixed criteria for the admission process. Any individual wishing to sign up for an undergraduate course must hold a secondary school certificate or equivalent as approved by the German regulations. 

Simultaneously, students aiming to sign up for a Masters’s degree must have previous education in the focal area chosen. 

Additionally, students will be asked to submit a German school leaving certificate or a language proficiency proof. 

For the German language, you must submit test scores for one of the below-mentioned options:
