Iowa State University Scholarship for Undergraduate Students
Students willing to study abroad must be aware of the Iowa State University out-of-state scholarships, domestic scholarships and international scholarships for undergraduate students.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation will designate Iowa citizens as National Merit Scholars, and these individuals will be eligible to receive a Iowa State University full scholarship for a total of four years (eight semesters) of undergraduate study. In order for this grant to be renewed, the student must continue to be a resident of Iowa, be enrolled full-time at Iowa State University, be in good academic standing, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00. This award is not accessible during the summer session; it is only offered during fall and spring semesters. The Office of Admissions does not grant additional merit prizes, such as the Loyal Scholar, Forever Scholar, and True Scholar for Iowa students, to students who obtain the full tuition scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for Iowa State University Scholarship
Students in Iowa who meet certain academic standards are eligible to receive recognition prizes from Iowa State. These are the requirements for being eligible to receive rewards for academic distinction.
Weighted GPAs are accepted in Iowa as long as the weighted grading scheme of the institution does not give weighted course grades more than one quality point.
The minimum SAT Total (reading, writing, and maths) or minimum ACT composite is applied. Iowa accepts a student's highest score, including the superscore given by ACT.
By March 1, 2025, applicants who are first-year students coming straight out of high school must be accepted. Awards beyond March 1st, subject to funding availability, may be given out.
The official, final high school transcript and test results proving the prerequisites have been fulfilled are required before any prizes may be given out.
To be eligible for a first-year student grant, a student must enrol at Iowa State University in the autumn semester right after graduating from high school.
