Popular B.Com Courses

A three-year undergraduate degree in business, economics, accounting, taxation, business law, and financing is known as a BCom. BCom serves as the cornerstone around which other studies can be built.

There are three divisions within the BCom course: BCom-General, BCom Honours, and BCom LLB. You can work as a company secretary, investment banker, certified management accountant, or chartered accountant with a BCom degree. In addition to being taught full-time, this degree is also available online and through distance learning.

Financial accounting, business laws, economics, taxation, auditing, and cost accounting are just a few of the subjects covered in the BCom program. One can begin a career in related sectors like finance, accounting, banking, insurance, etc. with a BCom degree. A BCom graduate typically starts out making INR 3 LPA.

A significant portion of students who graduate Class 12 with the Commerce stream aim for cost accounting, company secretaryship, and chartered accountancy in addition to BCom. Following graduation from a reputable institution with a BCom degree, students can pursue degrees in teaching, mass communication, advertising, journalism, design, law, etc.

Candidates should carefully consider BCom in order to get the intended results. Those who want to work in management or commerce should start with a BCom degree.

It is also a good option for MCom candidates because it teaches the foundations of the MCom course curriculum. Over time, there has been a rise in demand for BCom candidates in both the commercial and government sectors.

Benefits for Pursuing B.Com

  • The opportunity to start a career right away after graduation and find suitable employment is one of the main advantages of a BCom degree. Additionally, students can pursue postgraduate degrees such as PGDM or MBA.

  • Additionally, students might pursue higher education by choosing an MCom. Both the public and private job sectors have seen an increase in the demand for candidates holding a bachelor's degree in commerce throughout time.

Eligibility for Pursuing B.Com

To be admitted to the BCom program, interested candidates must complete the eligibility requirements and have a certain set of skills. Students must score greater than or equal to the college's cut-off percentage in order to get admitted.
