• On December 23, 1940, in Bangalore, renowned entrepreneur Walchand Hirachand formed Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. Hindustan Aircraft Limited was the company's original name. 
• The intriguing thing about HAL India is that, in the beginning, they worked with the USA's Continental Aircraft Company to build a few aircraft. 
• The helicopters that HAL India created and are now in production are the Dhruv and Rudra. The utility helicopter known as HAL Dhruv was created by HAL India and is appropriate for both military and civilian use. The helicopter was marketed to Israel and Nepal after it began operating in 2002.
• The armed Dhruv Helicopter is called the HAL Rudra, and it was created by HAL India. A 20 mm turret cannon, 70 mm rocket pods, air-to-air missiles, thermal imaging sights interface, forward-looking infrared (FLIR) and air-to-air missiles are just a few of the cutting-edge technologies found on the Rudra chopper.
