What is TRF? The full form of TRF is Test Report Form. An IELTS result copy is called a Test Report Form, or TRF. IELTS TRFs are only given to candidates once, and they are valid for two years. Unless you are applying to the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA) or Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), you will receive one copy of your TRF; in that instance, you may obtain two. You must give UKBA and CIC with proof of application in order to obtain these two copies. The institution or institutions you designate on your IELTS application form will get up to five copies of your ATRF by mail.
